At NOVÉA, Corporate Social Responsibility is an integral part of our mission: to support the energy transition through the production of sustainable gas derived from pyrogasification.
This technological choice is fully in line with the principles of the circular economy: it makes it possible to convert untapped local resources into energy, reduce the carbon footprint, and limit the use of fossil fuels. Each project we develop thus contributes to the establishment of waste recovery value chains that are consistent with European decarbonization goals.
Our approach goes beyond environmental performance alone. Our stakeholders committed alongside us
Located in the heart of the region, the NOVÉA facility is part of a local waste and organic by-product recovery initiative, converting these resources into sustainable gas through innovative staged pyrogasification technology. This approach turns waste into an energy resource through a circular economy that supports the energy transition.
Our operations are based on ongoing dialogue with all local stakeholders: local governments, businesses, agricultural cooperatives, transportation companies, and local residents. Together, we are building an exemplary waste management system that is efficient, safe, and fully integrated into its environment.
Safety and Regulation
The raw materials used at the site—biomass, waste—are strictly regulated under ICPE regulations. They constitute recoverable waste and byproducts that pose no hazard to operators or the environment when processed under controlled industrial conditions.
Controlled Valorization
The pyrogasification process converts waste into synthesis gas in a controlled system. There are no direct releases of process gases into the atmosphere, and emissions from internal combustion are continuously monitored to ensure optimal environmental performance.
Incoming waste streams are managed in a systematic manner, sourced from the shortest possible supply radius around the site (maximum 200 km) through local suppliers in controlled volumes, in order to minimize disruption and optimize the logistics of the waste recovery chain.

Recognizing its role in shaping local waste treatment and recycling systems, NOVÉA is developing a transparent and collaborative approach with local stakeholders.
Monitoring and control mechanisms ensure ongoing compliance with environmental and regulatory standards, while regular communication with local stakeholders helps to firmly establish the site within a framework of continuous improvement and local acceptance.
